Growing up on farmland in rural Newfoundland, Adam spent much of his childhood outdoors. Stillness came easily — lying in hay fields, picking berries, or swimming in the river just steps from home. With little to no internet, his outside world was often quiet.

While the landscape around him moved slowly, inside his imagination it ran wild. Adam was especially drawn to the design of video games, animations, and comics — not for the stories themselves, but for their artwork. He rarely played the games or followed the plots; instead, he studied the characters, their colour palettes, and the feeling they carried. They felt powerful. Mystical. Larger than life.

These two forces — a peaceful world outside and a vivid one within — continue to shape Adam’s style:
